Information on the agency's work

The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain,
ANECA, is an autonomous body of public nature whose aim is to provide
external quality assurance for the Spanish Higher Education System and to
contribute to its constant improvement through evaluation, certification
and accreditation. The activities performed by the Agency are related to the
evaluation of programmes, academic staff and institutional‐level approach
evaluation.

Specialisation: ANECA works for the whole higher education sector.
External quality assurance activities in the scope of the ESG: ANECA conducts various evaluation procedures at programme and institutional level including:
- Ex-ante, ex-post and monitoring of study programmes:
o VERIFICA;
o MONITOR;
o ACREDITA;
o ACREDITA PLUS (EUR-ACE and EURO-INF);
- Reviews at institutional level:
o AUDIT;
o DOCENTIA
- Other national and international assessments.
