Information on the agency's work

The Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) was established on 1 January 2002 pursuant to art. 38, clause 1 of the Law on Higher Education of 12 September 1990 (OJ No. 65, item 385) amended on 20 July 2001. The Polish Accreditation Committee is an independent agency working for the quality assurance of education.

External quality assurance activities in the scope of the ESG:
  • Ex-ante evaluation/accreditation procedure (issuing opinions on awarding rights to establish HEI/or to run study programme)
  • Ex-post programme evaluation for general academic/ or practice oriented profile
